New Jersey Pride Chamber of Commerce Appoints Tom Legan to its Board of Directors
Legan, a brand marketing executive, will oversee statewide strategies to manage fundraising and attract corporate sponsorships. The Chamber will kick off its first branded partnership by hosting a 10k & 5k Pride Run & Walk in Atlantic City, NJ on Saturday, April 23, 2022 – the first of its kind in South Jersey.
(February 09, 2022) Wayne, NJ – The New Jersey Pride Chamber of Commerce (NJPCC) – formerly the NJ LGBT Chamber of Commerce – is pleased to announce the election of Tom Legan, a resident of Clinton Township in Hunterdon County, to its board of directors.
Tom Legan is the President and Chief Marketing Officer of Brucecy Marketing Group, an experiential marketing and promotions agency based in Scotch Plains, that helps global brands, TV networks, streaming services, movie studios and non-profits directly reach diverse audiences through brand activations at large consumer events such as gay prides and runs. Brucecy Marketing Group is also a certified LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE).

The Chamber will host their first major event open to the public – The Pride Run – on Saturday, April 23rd on the historic Atlantic City boardwalk. Set next to the gorgeous backdrop of the Jersey Shore, the 5k and 10k walk/run will be the first of its size to attract the LGBTQ+ community and their allies in South Jersey. Legan brings award-winning experience in partnerships, promotions and marketing for groundbreaking original TV series, film releases, and brand awareness. He has worked in Manhattan at Showtime Networks and AMC Networks to drive viewership to some of the highest rated series in television history, including Queer As Folk on Showtime and The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men on AMC.

The agency is eager to get back to managing client activations at in-person pride festivals this year after two years where most prides were canceled due to the pandemic.
Legan, a Short Hills, NJ native, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Wake Forest University in NC. He is an avid volunteer for non-profit organizations like Jersey Cares, as a team leader and site captain for community service projects around NJ and has managed many Walk To End Alzheimer’s fundraising events throughout NJ for the Alzheimer’s Association.
