Our Member Spotlight for the month of November is Deanne Napurano and Janice Mondoker of Stone's Throw, Inc!
Stone’s Throw is at heart a marketing communications boutique providing consultation, copywriting, and design services. But it means so much more to us. When we started the business in the ‘90s, it was common to conceal, or at least not advertise, that you were gay. Even if it was privately accepted by individual colleagues, your identity could be a public stumbling block to your access to opportunity. After working for and meeting at a large advertising agency, creating Stone’s Throw was a way for us to create a lifestyle in which we could be free to work together and with people who didn’t penalize us for being ourselves. Over the past couple of decades, we’ve had the privilege of writing and designing for many different kinds of clients: indefatigable and inspiring entrepreneurs and small businessowners, innovators in life sciences and biotech, and many in between. We enjoy nothing more than knowing that we’ve truly helped someone – whether we've helped them better realize their vision for their business growth or helped them by creating an effective social media ad. The right words and images can do so much.
