Our Member Spotlight for the month of September is Marketsmith Inc.!
Founded in 1999 by Monica C. Smith, Marketsmith is one of the country’s largest LGBTQIA+ woman-owned and operated independent media and marketing agencies. MSI was based on the idea that technology and humanity are inextricably linked when it comes to creating successful consumer-centric marketing.
Our mission then, as now, is to provide clients with the most advanced tools and strategic approach to build powerful marketing executions that mitigate risk, maximize ROI, and drive growth. Our mission is to deliver measurable and positive in-market results for our clients by uniting the thoughtful application of data and artificial intelligence combined with human insight, experience, and creativity. Each campaign is built against a unique strategy incorporating research and insights, thoughtful creative and content development, and tactically precise media to operate with transparency, end-to-end measurement, and ROI-driven goals.
Over the past 25 years, Marketsmith has achieved extraordinary results for household names like Shark/Ninja (28% growth in revenue), Tumi ($1 MM contribution to bottom line), Bluemercury (69% increase in email conversion rate), and Lovesac (70% YOY sales increase), taking each of them to a significant exit or public. MSI has also been instrumental in driving creative and go-to-market design for some of the most extensive behavioral change campaigns and results in New Jersey history, like New Jersey’s ranking of the 5th highest in the nation for Affordable Care Act enrollments in 2023/2024, the 988 Crisis hotline campaign, and the opioid death rate in New Jersey being down 11% since 2022.
